#FitnessGoals During A Pandemic

To celebrate a new year, it’s an annual ritual that we make resolutions to be the best version of ourselves #newyearnewme. It’s something we hope to accomplish by the end of the year. Due to the pandemic, some of us have adopted some unhealthy habits or even a sedentary lifestyle.

For January, I wanted to focus on health & wellness. Now, more than ever is a critical time to prioritize our health & well-being. So what better way to kick off the new year?

Sadly, due to the harsh weather & even worse the restrictions, it’s made it difficult to start but don’t let a pandemic be an excuse for abandoning your resolution early (We’ve all been there, you know you are).

Your definitive guide is here:

1.- Create Your Personal “Treatment” Plan:

Imagine you are having a consultation with yourself. During your consultation, discuss with yourself what your expectations are and if they are realistic. This will help you create a guideline of activities, milestones and a timeline for you to follow. Set realistic goals. Stay accountable.

2. If it’s not improving you... Let that ish go.

I suggest you make a list for this part. Whether it’s that toxic person in your life or a bad habit, weigh the pros & cons. Examine how this is impacting your life and if it has more cons… GIRL, let it go. The key to sustaining positive change is to turn each desired action into a habit. Old habits die hard. It’s time to rewire your brain & develop a new one that proactively benefits your lifestyle.

3. No gym, no problem.

Whether gyms are closed, there are other ways to get your workout in. Try at-home workouts! Find exercises that you can literally do with ZERO equipment. The hardest part of home workouts though is actually just getting yourself to do it. Make sure you make a workout plan that highlights the areas you want to work on. I suggest you wake up early to get it out of the way, put some cute gym clothes on & blast some tunes while you do it. You can do whatever you want after, and you’ll feel accomplished.

4. Exercise alone, won’t get it done.

It is an entire process. In order for you to reap the benefits of your workout, you need to give your body the nutrition it needs. The more serious you are about your nutrition, the more serious your gains will be. Of course, avoid processed foods and alcohol as best as you can. I know it’s unavoidable sometimes and it’s okay, but remember the less the better!

You must pair your eating habits with workouts. You can’t just be eating all this food and not be training. Activate those muscles and get to work!

5. Need A break from working out? Try this #Emsculpt Neo at Victoria Rose Aesthetics

Let’s face it, It’s going to get ugly!

When it comes to social media, and finding inspiration, remember that you don’t see everything behind the scenes. You only see the good, and rarely the ugly. But I’m just a regular person who also dreads working out sometimes, or craves something sweet. I know this is a tough time for most of us, but this is a reminder to keep pushing, get creative with your workouts and try to make it fun.

Let’s stay positive and keep killing our goals ladies!
