For PRP, a fraction of your blood (20cc) is drawn into a syringe. The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate its components (Red Blood Cells, Platelet Rich Plasma, Platelet Poor Plasma and Buffy Coat). The Platelet Rich Plasma and Buffy Coat is first separated and combined. It is then activated with a small amount of calcium chloride which acts as an activation agent and scaffold to keep the PRP where the injector intends to treat.
Platelets are very small cells in your blood that are involved in the clotting and healing process. When PRP is injected into the damaged area it causes a mild inflammation that triggers the healing cascade. As the platelets organize in the treatment area they release a number of enzymes to promote healing and tissue responses including attracting stem cells and growth factors to repair the damaged area.
As a result new collagen begins to develop. As the collagen matures it begins to shrink causing the tightening and strengthening of the damaged area. When treating injured or damaged tissue from sun or time, they can induce a remodeling of the tissue to a healthier and younger state.
The full procedure takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Fillers are made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid; a natural substance that already exists in the human body. The hyaluronic acid comes in the form of a crystal-clear gel called Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. They are injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts through an ultra-fine needle. The Fillers are pre-mixed with Lidocaine, an anesthetic agent, which helps to make the procedure more comfortable for you. The procedure is simple and offers visible results right away.
Teosyal RHA is the first filler range with exclusive rheological properties that provide high stretch, without compromising strength. Unlike other fillers, Teosyal RHA's unique Hyaluronic acid chains have high molecular weight as well as long chains of HA, which mimic the natural HA in our bodies. Teosyal RHA fillers were designed for dynamic facial movement and thanks to this advanced technology, Teosyal fillers can achieve effective and natural results, without compromising longevity and efficacy of results.
Hair loss can be an embarrassing issue. Male and female pattern hair loss is a genetic problem that can leave you feeling helpless. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for hair restoration involves a simple injection of your own platelets into the vascular layer of your scalp. PRP for Hair Regrowth
How Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Works
Platelets contain healing growth factors. Those growth factors are like signal callers that give instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply. This has lead different fields of medicine to utilize PRP for wound healing to speed up recovery time and regrow healthier, stronger tissue. Now doctors have discovered new benefits for hair thickening and regrowth. With PRP for Hair, your growth factors and stem cells work together to reverse the miniaturization of the hair follicle and jumpstarting dormant hair back into the growth stage.
In this procedure using your own blood and having no general anesthetic required with PRP, there is a short recovery and low risk, yet natural looking results.
Results are generally visible at 4 weeks and continue to improve gradually over ensuing months (3-6) with improvement in texture and tone. Current data shows results may last 18-24 months. Advanced wrinkling cannot be reversed and severe scarring may not respond. Avoiding drug, alcohol, and tobacco usage will maximize benefits of PRP.
Generally 3-6 treatments are advised, however, more may be necessary for some individuals. Touch up treatments may be done once a year after the initial series of treatments to boost and maintain the results. After treatment, you may experience swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and tenderness at the site of treatment. This will typically last for less than a week. The use of Tylenol (acetaminophen) is permitted. Be careful to guard against infection by keeping the skin clean, especially in the first 48 hours. Avoid excessive rubbing or manipulation of the skin. Blood thinners, anti-inflammatory medications, alcohol, and heavy exercise are permitted only after 24 hours.
